Russ has been employed with the Louis Riel School Division for the past 24 years as the Athletic Director and Physical Education Specialist at Glenlawn Collegiate.

2016 Louis Riel School Division Coaching Excellence Award Recipient.

 

VOLLEYBALL

As a player, won Provincials at every level in high school. Provincial all-star. National club champion, silver, and bronze medalist. Men’s tier one Provincial champions.

 

Fully certified NCCP / Volleyball Canada coach. 

Highlights include:

Eight time South Central Athletic Conference (SCAC) Champions,

Junior Varsity Boys Provincial Champions in 2000 and 2022

Varsity Girls Provincial Finalists in 2002 and 2004 and Provincial Final Four 2015.

Coach of the Year in the AAAA girls category through Volleyball Manitoba 2015.

Winman 15u boys National Tier 1 silver medalist 2016.

Winman 16u boys National Tier 1 gold medal 2017.

Manitoba Provincial Team 17u boys Head Coach 2017.
