Our sons (ages 8 and 10) joined Affinity Athletes’ Rise Academy with no prior volleyball experience — and it has been such a positive surprise for our family. As parents who have already been involved in soccer, basketball, and football programs, we’ve seen many different clubs, and we are genuinely impressed with the environment Russ and Trent have created.

Their love for volleyball is obvious, and what stands out most is how intentionally they share that passion with the kids. Our boys are not only building real skills, but also confidence, discipline, and excitement for the game. In fact, one of our sons now says volleyball is his favorite sport and wants to focus on it moving forward — which we never could have predicted!

Affinity Athletes’ Rise Academy provides the perfect introduction to volleyball for young children. They use excellent instruction to scaffold skill development in an exceptionally positive environment. Kids leave each session feeling successful. I wish every sport used this development philosophy. Affinity Athletes is a program we genuinely plan our schedule around because it is just that good.
